Fallout: New Vegas Rumor Details

Earlier this week there was some information leaked on the UK Gamespot Forums concerning some specifics on the upcoming game by Obsidian Entertainment, Fallout: New Vegas. A member of the Gamespot forums stated that they had learned from a “trusted source” that new information would be coming very soon, along with the game being featured on the next issue of Game Informer with the following details:

Half-Life 2 Using Project Natal Footage Leaked

Within the last few months there has been speculation that Valve is in the process of using Project Natal as a means of improving upon game development, specifically with the possible usage of it within the much anticipated release of Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

Gamestop Reveals Bad Company 2 PC Beta Beginning Jan. 28th

According to Gamestop’s listing of the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Limited Edition release, not only will it include a ton of special unlockables for the game but it will also contain access to the PC multiplayer beta that will begin on January 28th, 2010 and end on February 25th, 2010.

Then it would not only look a lot like what’s in this fan made YouTube video, but we’d also probably see another quirky LEGO video game that might actually be of interest to some Valve fans. Unfortunately enough that’s not going to happen unless Gabe Newell see’s this video and decides to call up LEGO and demand they make this into a game. Then the world would explode.

Blizzard Wants To Make Console Games Again

Gamasutra recently conducted an interview with Sam Didier and J. Allen Brack of Activision Blizzard, who spoke at length about the company’s history and the very real possibilities of their future return to console gaming. “…we’re a company of gamers”, says J. Allen Brack. “I have two consoles at home. Sam has consoles. We’re a culture of gamers. We will definitely work on a console game at some point. I have no doubt about that. It’s just [a matter of] what game. What makes the most sense?”

Assassin’s Creed: Lineage Short Film 1 of 3 Released Today

Ubisoft released today the first of three short films which will prequel the upcoming Assassin’s Creed II game featuring the main character’s father; Giovanni Auditore da Firenze. The videos combine a mixture of live action footage and computer generated imagery (CGI) which was put together by the visual effects studio Hybride Technologies; who participated in the production of such films as 300 and Sin City and was just last year purchased by Ubisoft in order to create such films.

Normally video game adaptations to film don’t always work out so well, but this one seems very promising so far. But maybe you should take a look for yourself just to be sure.

BioWare Announces Free Flash Game, Dragon Age Journeys

BioWare has just officially announced the release of a new chapter in the Dragon Age saga; a new browser based flash game entitled Dragon Age Journeys, which will bring the franchise into a “bold new light”, according to Executive Producer of Dragon Age: Origins, Mark Darrah. “Dragon Age Journeys sets the stage for Dragon Age: Origins,” he continues, “and the release of this game allows a broad audience of players to discover our dark fantasy universe for the first time.”

New Unannounced Mass Effect DLC “Pinnacle Station” Now Available

Apparently BioWare just forgot or maybe they’re practicing their ninja skills, but either way the new DLC for Mass Effect, “Pinnacle Station”, has been released this morning for 400 MS Points. This new content takes place upon a top secret Alliance space station that contains 13 new combat scenarios and up to 2-3 hours of new additional gameplay.

BioShock Film Gets New Director

It looks like Gore Verbinski, director of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, will be stepping down as head of the BioShock movie and will assume the role of producer instead; due to his inability to commit to an overseas shoot.
